I was poking around online (as one does, searching for, uh, “inspiration”) and I stumbled on a whole bunch of Dior bag stuff. It’s kinda overwhelming, you know? You got the classic Lady Dior, which, OMG, so iconic, and then you got, like, the Book Tote, which everyone and their grandma seems to be carrying these days. And don’t even *get* me started on the pre-owned situation.
Honestly, the pre-owned market is a minefield. I saw one listing for a “Christian Dior Pre-Owned bolsa satchel Micro Metallic Crinkled Calfskin Cannage Lady Dior 2019” for… wait for it… $77,915!!! SEVENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS! For a *used* bag! Like, seriously? I could buy a small car for that. Or, you know, pay off some student loans (a girl can dream).
And then there’s the whole “Cannage” thing. I mean, it’s pretty, that quilted pattern, but sometimes I feel like it just screams “expensive handbag” a little *too* loudly, if you know what I mean. Like, I’m all for a statement piece, but I also don’t want to look like I’m trying *too* hard, ya feel?
Also, I saw a thing about the Dior Book Tote being “personalizable.” Which, okay, cool, but also, is it just me, or does that feel a little bit… played out? Like, every influencer and their dog has one with their initials on it. It’s almost *not* special anymore, right?
And then I kept getting, like, redirected to the Dior Canada website. Which, no offense to Canada (love you, Canada!), but I was trying to, ya know, just *look* at bags, not necessarily *buy* them from Canada. Maybe the algorithm is just messing with me.
