First off, you’re gonna see a TON of different places advertising them. Amazon’s tryin’ to lure you in with their “Spend less. Smile more.” schtick – which, let’s be real, ain’t gonna happen when you’re dropping nearly a grand on shoes. But hey, free shipping is tempting, right?
Then there’s Gucci.com, obv. I mean, go straight to the source if you wanna be sure you’re getting the real deal. Plus, “Complimentary Gift Wrapping”?! Okay, Gucci, you’re speaking my love language. But seriously, who are you gifting these to… yourself? (No judgement here, I’d probably do the same).
Saks is in the mix too, promising “new arrivals from today’s top brands.” Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know you’re talkin’ about Gucci, Saks, just get to the point! I always gotta read the fine print with them thooo, the small print kills me.
And then, BAM! Fashionphile. Pre-owned. Used. Okay, okay, hold up. This could be a legit option if you’re trying to save some cash. You gotta be careful though! Make sure you’re looking at all angles of the shoe, you don’t wanna buy some beat up Ace sneakers!
Scrolling through, I see Gucci themselves are even pushing the women’s versions – “Gucci Ace sneaker with bee $930”. The bee! Iconic. *And* they’ve got the virtual try-on thing… okay, Gucci, you’re playing the game. Might be kinda fun to see what they look like on your feet… virtually, at least, before the inevitable crushing disappointment when you realize your bank account screams “NOPE.”
I mean, seriously, the whole thing is a bit overwhelming, right? So many options, so many price points, so many places to potentially get ripped off with a fake. My advice? Stick to reputable retailers, even if it means shelling out the big bucks. Or, you know, maybe just admire them from afar like I do.
