Got this knock-off Cold Steel Rajah 2 today. Absolutely love over-sized folding knives, anyone got any others? I carry one of these when I’m working outside, to use .

Nepenthes Rajah, BE

I bought it on Amazon because here in Italy knives from American brands are sold at a ridicolous high price: I found a Rajah II at 155 Euros, its price can easily be .

Genuine vs Fake Cold Steel Rajah 2 / Rajah II

Went to a bar this weekend and had a couple white rajah and loved it. anyone got a good clone recipe or idea of one for the white rajah ipa?

First off, there’s the knife connection. Apparently, some people are *really* into knives, specifically the Cold Steel Rajah II. And, man, are they expensive! This one dude was complaining about the price being like, 155 Euros in Italy for a knife that should be way cheaper. That’s where the “clone” angle comes in, people be lookin’ for knockoffs, imitation, you know, the works. He even mentions gettin’ some “great” clones of the Rajah II (and a Spartan, whatever that is) from DHGate. But then, DUN DUN DUN, the clones are gettin’ scarce! Sad times, amirite?

Then you got this whole “chineseknives community” on Reddit, which, uh, okay, interesting. They’re into all sorts of Chinese blades, originals, clones, replicas – the whole shebang. So, it’s like, a whole subculture dedicated to finding a good deal on a blade, even if it’s not, like, the *real* deal. I guess if you just need something to, I dunno, open boxes or pretend to be a ninja, a clone will do. (Disclaimer: Don’t pretend to be a ninja.)

But hold up, there’s *more*. We’re not just talkin’ knives, folks. Suddenly, there’s this weird tangent about… plants? Specifically, *Nepenthes rajah*. Turns out “rajah” means “king” or “ruler” in Sanskrit. And this plant is apparently a big deal in Sarawak, Malaysia. Honestly, I’m not sure how this fits in, maybe someone who’s into knives is also into exotic carnivorous plants? People are weird, man. No judging, though, I got my own quirks.

And *then*, outta nowhere, BOOM! Someone’s lookin’ for a clone recipe for a White Rajah IPA. A *beer*! What in the world? Okay, so maybe “rajah” is just a cool-sounding word and people like to use it for stuff. Like, “King of Beers” but, you know, Rajah-er. I kinda want to try this White Rajah IPA now. I bet it’s got, like, tropical fruit notes or something.

So, yeah, “clone Rajah” is a weird rabbit hole. You got expensive knives, cheap knockoffs, Reddit communities, carnivorous plants, and beer recipes. It’s like the internet threw up a bunch of random stuff and called it a day. Honestly, it’s kinda fascinating how these seemingly unrelated things all share the same name.
