First off, Fendi. We all know the name, right? The double-F logo practically screams “I have disposable income!” (And maybe a slightly questionable relationship with credit cards? Just sayin’.) But beyond the logo mania, there’s actually some legit good stuff going on.
Like, I saw something about their Fall 2023 ready-to-wear collection pulling inspo from Delettrez Fendi rifling through her vintage stuff. Which, honestly, is *brilliant*. It’s like, “Hey, we’re using our archives, therefore we’re sustainable and cool!” (Even if they’re simultaneously slinging extravagant furs, LOL.) And a little nod to Lagerfeld? Respect. Though, between you and me, I kinda miss his drama. Fendi’s a bit more…restrained now, wouldn’t you say?
Then there’s the shirts. Mens shirts to be exact. Impeccable craftsmanship and high-quality fabrics…blah blah blah. Okay, yes, that’s all important. But are they *interesting*? That’s the real question. Like, will it make me look twice in a crowded room? Or just blend into the sea of corporate drones? Hmmm…
And then, of course, there’s the *colorful* assortment of clothing. That’s where Fendi kinda shines, right? They’re not afraid to be, like, *loud*. Which, in a world of beige and minimalist everything, is a breath of fresh air. Even if it’s a slightly *expensive* breath. I mean, Saks is selling their dresses, so you know they’re not exactly gonna be giving ’em away with a Happy Meal. Free shipping and returns, though! (Thank GOD.)
But here’s the thing that bugs me: the furs and leathers. I get it, it’s part of their heritage. Yadda yadda yadda. But in this day and age? Feels a little…icky. I’m torn. I appreciate the artistry, but I’m also trying to, you know, *not* contribute to the apocalypse. First world problems, I know.
Oh! And someone mentioned TS4 CC pieces? (That’s The Sims 4 custom content, for you non-gamers.) Okay, that’s kinda cool. Imagine your Sims rocking Fendi! Peak virtual luxury. I might actually have to look into that…
