Then you’re scrolling through some random Hersmiles Store ad (whatever *that* is) about getting gifts for your loved ones (or yourself, treat yo’self!), and there it is again! A “King of Boxing” tee. It’s like Canelo’s face is haunting my online shopping experience. Which, you know, I’m not complaining *that* much. He’s a good-looking dude, and a heck of a boxer.
Speaking of which, that whole thing with the robe? Did you SEE that thing? That massive gold cape with the logos plastered all over it? Jeez. Talk about over the top! D&G *loves* to go OTT, don’t they? Like, subtle ain’t in their vocabulary. It was def *a look*. Whether it was a *good* look is debatable, tbh. I mean, it was definitely… memorable.
And then there’s Luis R Conriquez dropping a song called “Martes 13” for Canelo. Honestly, I hadn’t heard of him before (sorry, Luis!), but apparently he’s a big deal in the Música Mexicana scene. So Canelo’s got a song *and* a questionable fashion statement. That’s what I call success!
What’s the deal with these shirts anyway? Are they dressy? Casual? Formal? Definitely not formal, unless you’re attending a boxing match at a super exclusive club where “formal” means “wearing a gold robe is encouraged.” I’m gonna say leaning towards casual. Maybe dressy-casual if you pair it with, like, a blazer? (Though maybe don’t. A blazer might be too much.)
I’m seeing them described online as everything from “designer polo shirts and t—-” (typo alert! What’s that *supposed* to say?) to “Camisa de pijama en seda en Negro de Hombre” (that sounds super fancy, but probably not the same thing). So basically, the internet is as confused as I am.
