Firstly, trying to actually *find* info that’s not about handbags is surprisingly hard. Seriously, Google is like, “Hermes… did you mean BIRKIN?” No, Google, I did *not* mean Birkin. I mean, they’re beautiful and all, but there’s more to life, and more to Hermès, than a ridiculously expensive purse.
Speaking of expensive… apparently, Hermès is explaining their “high price increases.” (Who *isn’t* raising prices these days, amirite?). It makes me wonder, are these increases hitting the jewelry too? Because, uh, I’m not exactly rolling in dough here, but I DO love a good piece of statement jewelry.
And that leads me to the EU stock. I saw a reference to Hermes International SCA (RMS:PAR) – that’s the ticker symbol for the Paris stock exchange, if you weren’t sure. So, if you’re feeling particularly flush and bold (and, frankly, a little crazy), you *could* invest in the company. But honestly, for most of us, staring wistfully at their jewelry online is probably more realistic.
I personally think the jewelry is kinda underrated. They do some incredible enamel bracelets, and their Collier de Chien cuffs are just iconic. It’s like, you get a little piece of the Hermès magic without having to take out a second mortgage for a handbag. Just, you know, a regular mortgage. (Just kidding… mostly.)
