See, the thing is, mass production is cool and all, gets stuff to us faster. But there’s SOMETHING, isn’t there? Something super appealing about the idea of handmade stuff. Like, knowing that a real person put effort into it. And FARFETCH is obviously selling the official Miu Miu stuff, the fancy bijoux and all, the stuff that’ll probably make your bank account weep a little. They even mention chokers and bracelets and earrings that are just, you know, *chefs kiss* at complementing Miu Miu clothes. (Side note: anyone else ever tried to justify buying an entire outfit just because you found THE perfect accessory? No? Just me? Okay…)
But back to the handmade thing. I’m wondering if maybeeee there’s like, a *spectrum* of “handmade.” Like, maybe Miu Miu’s “handmade” involves skilled artisans doing *some* of the work, even if it’s not *entirely* one person from start to finish. Or maybe that “Zodiac Jewellery” thing is just a whole separate brand, trying to ride the Miu Miu wave? Honestly, the internet is a wild place.
And yeah, “Jewelry is Love Made Visible” – I saw that on MilanStyle.com and it’s kinda cheesy, but kinda true, too, right? I mean, think about it. A piece of jewelry given as a gift? That’s a whole lotta feels packed into a tiny sparkly thing.
