Anyway, I’ve been doing some, uh, *research* (read: frantically Googling and skimming websites, because who has time to actually *read* anymore?) and it seems Dior hats are a Thing. A Big Thing. Like, “sell your car for a bucket hat” kinda Thing.
Vestiaire Collective’s got secondhand ones. Which, honestly, is probably the smartest way to go. Paying full price for a hat seems… excessive? Unless you’re, like, dripping in oil money, in which case, knock yourself out. But me? I’m sticking to the pre-loved Dior. Hopefully, someone hasn’t sweated all over it too much. Eww.
Then there’s YOOX. Fancy! “Easy returns” they say. Let’s hope so, because judging by the pictures, I’m gonna need a *lot* of returns to find one that doesn’t make me look like a complete idiot. Hats are tricky, man. They can either elevate your entire look or make you look like you’re cosplaying as a chimney sweep. There’s, like, no in-between.
Saks is in the mix, too. “Free shipping and returns!” Okay, they’re all saying that. It’s like the hat-selling equivalent of “Netflix and chill.” But hey, free is free. Can’t complain.
And Poshmark! Oh, Poshmark, you beautiful den of discounted designer delights. I’m betting that’s where the *real* deals are. Just gotta sift through the “authentic” Dior that’s probably made in someone’s basement. You know how it is. Still, worth a shot, right?
GOAT also has Dior hats? I thought they just did sneakers. Learn something new every day. Buyer protection, which is good. Nobody wants to get scammed on a hat. That’s just… sad.
The Dior website itself, of course, is all about the Oblique Bucket Hat. Christian Dior himself apparently thought hats were super important for expressing your personality. I guess if your personality is “rich and willing to spend a fortune on a hat,” then yeah, Dior’s got you covered. Personally, I think my personality is more “tries to find a good deal without looking like she’s wearing a garbage bag on her head.” But hey, maybe I’ll change my mind.
So, “High Precision Dior Hat”… I’m still not entirely sure what that means. Is it the stitching? The material? The sheer audacity of charging that much for a hat? Probably all of the above.
