Okay, so, what *is* “overrun stock,” anyway? I’m picturing, like, a warehouse *overflowing* with gorgeous mohair and wool blends (the multi-colored one on FARFETCH looks AMAZING, btw), silk and wool combos, and, you know, just general scarf goodness. Is it stuff that didn’t quite make the “perfect” cut? Maybe a tiny, like, *teeny* little flaw that only a hawk-eyed LOEWE employee could spot? Or, is it just, like, extra scarves they made for some reason? Like, maybe they overestimated the demand for “Havana” (sounds… summery, right?).
The Vestiaire Collective stuff is interesting too. “Second-hand,” okay. But still, LOEWE! I mean, as long as it’s not, like, *grossly* used, right? Imagine finding a vintage gem there. (Although, I always feel a little weird buying second-hand stuff. Like, what’s the story behind it, you know?)
And the “Stock availability LOEWE cannot be liable…” part? That’s kinda scary. Like, you think you’re getting a deal, and then BAM! “Sorry, we don’t actually have it.” Talk about a buzzkill. Although, the 48-hour notice thing is… kinda responsible, I guess? Still annoying though.
Then there’s that bit about the Korean website. “로에베 코리아에 오신 것을 환영합니다.” I have no idea what that says, but the “Reversible checkerboard pattern with allover Anagram jacquard” scarf sounds *fancy*. I bet those are the ones that end up as “overrun” the least, though, right? ‘Cause, you know, checkerboard. Classic.
Honestly, I’m kinda skeptical about these “overrun stock” claims in general. I mean, LOEWE is a *luxury* brand. They probably burn anything that’s not 100% perfect. (Okay, maybe not *burn*, but you get the idea). It’s probably more likely that you’re getting a really good deal on a legit sale item, or… well, let’s not even think about the possibility of *cough* fakes *cough*.
